My sister & I used to hang out with the Mohawks in the late 60’s. I 'went out with' their drummer Charles and we accompanied them to a few of their gigs in Birmingham and London. They were a great band, fun to be with and loved dressing up on stage. When this track was released the English radio DJ's were very scornful and refused to play it saying it was sacrilege to cover a Beetle composition with a Reggie beat! I wonder what happened to them?

Very cool! Thanks for sharing!
I was sitting chatting to the Mohawks' drummer - Charlie Springer - just a couple of hours ago here in Barbados! It's a small world! Jennie
